Dr. Janice Smith graduated from Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, Michigan. She received her B.A. degree from Manchester College in North Manchester, Indiana.  After completing a rotating internship at  Memorial Hospital in South Bend, Indiana, she practiced as an emergency physician in a variety of hospitals in the Chicago suburbs before returning to Northern Indiana where she now practices predominantly as an alternative physician in Mishawaka. Many of her recommendations come from her personal experience of hypothyroidism diagnosed at age 21 which was treated initially by conventional methods (Synthroid and TSH levels) but later with dessicated thyroid at her own initiative.
